He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Houben and Mary Houben (Lloynes). He is survived by: his wife Patricia E. Riley; his children, Trisha Douglas (Jeff) of Buffalo, NY, Danielle VanScoter (Thomas) of Eldred, Jennifer Carr of Roulette, Frederick Hepfer, Jr. (Sherry) of Stow, OH, Duane Hepfer (Sherri) of Little Genessee, NY and Leon Hakes, III (Jamie) of Eldred, PA; and his brother Wayne Houben (Marie) of Rixford, PA.
