She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Moore and Merle Moore (Gray); her husband Fred C. Johnston, Sr.; and her siblings, Della, Lucille, Patricia, Leonard, Milton, Ellen, Esther, Doris and Jack.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph E. Johnston (Nannette) of Elizabeth and Fred C. "Chuck" Johnston, Jr. (Diane) of Elizabeth; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Benjamin, Sarah, Katelyn and Rebekah; and her brother Edward Moore. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory (6028 Smithfield St, McKeesport, PA 15135). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at the Round Hill Cemetery (2131 Round Hill Church Rd, Elizabeth, PA 15037).
