He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. Smith and Genevieve Best; and his son Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Smith (Holko); his son Scott Smith; his daughter-in-law Bethann Galaska of Pittsburgh; his brother Paul "Pete" Smith Jr. of Georgetown, Texas; his sister-in-law Stephene Broman (late Evan Broman) of West Mifflin; his niece Heidi Peters (Todd); his great-niece Allison Peters; and his great-nephew Owen Peters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory (6028 Smithfield St, Boston, PA 15135). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mother of God Parish - St. Angela (2701 Kelly St, White Oak, PA 15131).
