She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Kercher and Marion Kercher (Leiss). She is survived by: her husband Andrew Thompson; her children, Erin Shearer (Nathan) of Elizabethtown, Michael Thompson of Elizabethtown and Hanna Reardon (Robert) of Palmyra; and her grandchildren, Maddox Shearer, Charlee Shearer and Presley Reardon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
