We are sad to announce that, on January 10, 2021, at the age of 77, Douglas Hoy of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, born in Millersburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Hoy and Clara Hoy (Gingrich); his son Douglas J. Hoy; and his brothers, Mark Hoy Jr., Ken Hoy and Charles Hoy.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Hoy (Gentile); his children, Valerie F. Hoy (Howard Rhodehamel), Angela I. Sassani (Daniel) of Elizabethtown and Daniel C. Hoy (Nicole) of Linglestown; his siblings, Patricia Risso, Mary Miller, Gloria Michael (Bill), Carl Hoy (Carol) and Herb Hoy; and his grandchildren, Jade Sassani, B'Elanna Rhodehamel, Ivan Rhodehamel (Katie), Kes Rhodehamel and Michael Rhodehamel.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, services will be private.

Memorial contributions in Doug's name may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 121 N. Spring St., Middletown, PA 17057.
