He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Pearl (McConvey); his brother Albert; his daughter Debra Joy Bordner; and his spouse Craig.

He is survived by: his children, Gerald Jr. (Colleen Hanley) of Albuquerque, NM, Kathleen Joan (Alan Rice) and Cynthia Sue (Mark Stettler); and his son-in-law Craig Bordner. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson.
