He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rice and Katherine Rice; and his wife Ruth M. Rice. He is survived by: his children, David of Illinois, Danette Nickel of Elizabethtown and Danese (John Snyder) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Jessica Nandy, Caitlin Rice, Cody Nickel (Abby), Jacob (Jenn) and Jordan Snyder (April); and his great grandchildren, Calee, Hudson, Cameela, Laura, Noah, Isaiah and Maddy.
