He was predeceased by: his father James F. Abbott; his children, Gwyn E. Schwartz and James S. Abbott; and his brother Eugene C. Abbott. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Abbott; his children, Ann Weisel (George), Susan Abbott (Miller), Nancy Wescott (Floyd), Mark Abbott (Debra) and Matthew Abbott (Paula); and his grandchildren, Wendy Ranney, Jennifer Halverson, Melissa Hughes, Melissa Burgess, Megan Watson, Margaret Vanderford, Kimberly Bills, Joseph Abbott and Mary Whitehead. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
