She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne P. Lehman and Elizabeth Cannon Lehman. She is survived by: her husband Walter R. Schwanger; her children, Mellanie E. Williams of Elizabethtown, Jeffrey W. (Dori Kreiner Schwanger) of Hummelstown, Dwayne P. (Wanda Espenshade Schwanger) of Elizabethtown, Beverly A. (David Heckman) of Moneta, VA and Helen E. (Eric McCombs) of Russellville, AR; and her sister Helen Keener of Rheems. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Green Tree Church of the Brethren (740 Greentree Rd, Elizabethtown, PA 17022). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Please omit flowers. If desired, contributions may be made to the ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002-2755 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
