He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Fishel and Zelda Fishel (Mansberger); and his brother Darvin Fishel. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Fishel (Waltz); his children, Lisa Harsh (Douglas), Kim Gutshall (Rick) and Paul E. Fishel (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Stacey Huber, Gina Gutshall, Nathan Fishel and Megan Deaven. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
