He is survived by: his wife Arlene Shover Von Nieda; his children, Timothy (Patrizia Von Nieda), Kurt (Donna Von Nieda), Kristin Von Nieda (Robert Martone), Heidi Von Nieda (David McComb), John (Kristina Von Nieda) and Matthew (Lisa Von Nieda); his stepsons, Roly (Patti Shover) and Roger (Helen Shover); his grandchildren, Josh, Allegra, Tijnau, Claire, Jonathan, Addie, Eli, Evelyn, Tristan, Olivia, Simon and Issac; his stepgrandchildren, Chelsea, Max and Roger; and his sister Sarah Jamison. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
