He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Buffington and Ethel L. Henninger (Harner); his wife Judith Buffington (Shaffer); and his stepdaughters, Teresa Gorecki and Melissa Fetterhoff.
He is survived by: his son Robert A. Buffington of San Diego, CA; his siblings, Connie L. Henninger and David M. Buffington (Carol); his stepson-in-law Michael Gorecki; his stepgrandchildren, Tylor Lenker, Tasha McCauslin (Dan) and Branden Fetterhoff; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Olivia Lenker, Bowen Lenker, Ricky Lenker and Leah McCauslin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd. - Elizabethville (103 W Main St, Elizabethville, PA 17023). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
