He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jane Gilbert Thompson; his children, Mary-Elizabeth Thompson Gaskill (Matthew R.), Jonathan Gilbert Christian Thompson (Bridget O.), Abba, Meredith Elizabeth Gaskill, James O'Donnell Thompson and Annabel Olive Thompson; his brother Keith A. Thompson (Margaret); and his godchildren, Kelly Ann Mulcahy, Matthew A. Thompson, Marlene Bower, Carolyn Devlin, Chad Horn, Dianna Maurer and Annabel O. Thompson. He is also survived by wife and beloved children & grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, Rockledge PA, Grace Episcopal Church, Merchantville, NJ or National Brain Tumor Society.
