It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Eugene Barner (Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman W. Barner Sr. and Olive I. Barner; his wife Susan K. Barner (Heckman); and his sisters, Sharon Barner, Connie Brannon, Nancy Coleman and Louann Beers.

He is survived by: his brother Herman W. Barner Jr. of Marysville; his daughters, Billie Jo Deiter (Steve Deiter) of Newport, Deanne Shelley (Patrick Shelley) of Harrisburg and Laura Nace (David Nace) of Landisburg; his grandchildren, Shawna Swartz (Dylan Swartz) of Elliottsburg and Jonathan Weller (Randee Weller) of Duncannon; and his great grandchildren, Keegan Swartz, Tucker Swartz and Hazel Mae. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
