He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin L. Hertzler and Susie Hertzler (Shenk); and his son John R. Hertzler. He is survived by: his wife Virginia M. Hertzler (Mast); his children, Phillip R. Hertzler (Annette), Thomas M. Hertzler (Helen), Paul J. Hertzler (Linda), James M. Hertzler (Debra), Anne Stott (David) of Bowmansville and Joseph L. Hertzler (Karen); his daughter-in-law Janelle Hertzler (Shantz) of Lancaster; his sister Katherine Hallman of Kansas City, MO; and his brother-in-law Dan Mullin of London, UK.. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Hopewell Church (2286 Hopewell Rd, Elverson, PA 19520). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
