He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Larry Hickman and Gayle Ritts Hickman (Ritts); his children, Jake (Kendall Hickman), Jessica (Joshua Fresch), Annie (Dustin Swartfager) and Melissa (Keith Hughes); his grandchildren, Eli, Henry, Derek Hickman, Eleanore, Presley Fresch, Bryce, Owen, Tucker, Garrett and Andrew Swartfager; his wife Jane Barber; his sister Amy Hickman; his brother-in-law Pat Best; his parents-in-law, John and Marjorie Barber; his sister Lauren Best (Hickman); his sisters-in-law, Marie Barber and Lois Barber; and his grandparents, Harry, Eleanore Hickman (Vorous), Merl and Elva Ritts (Murray). He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
