Matthew leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Matthew’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Matthew will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irmgard Lindroth and Mathias Lindroth; his sister Irmgard Cistone; his brothers-in-law, Kosta and John Papoulidis; and his nibling Anatoli-Helene Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Panayota Lindroth; his grandchildren, Michael Butler and Katherine Sullivan; and his great grandchild Carl Sullivan.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Emmaus Moravian Church (146 Main St, Emmaus, PA 18049).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Matthew's memory to donate to the Peace Corps Tanzania Country Fund, supporting the people and communities of Tanzania, a country that held such a special place in his heart. Donations can be made through the Peace Corps at https://www.peacecorps.gov also encourage those who knew Matthew to honor his legacy in another way: seek out new knowledge, learn something unfamiliar, push beyond the boundaries of what is known, and share what you learn with others.
