He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd E. Diller and Sara E. Diller (Myers); his siblings, Elvin B. Diller, Sr., Walter I. Diller and Ruth M. Apa; and his former wife Jean I. Diller.

He is survived by: his children, Wanda J. Bauman (Verlan), Debra A. Trimbur (Gregory), Brenda L. Neidig (Loren) and John L. Diller, Jr. (John). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
