He was predeceased by: his mother Marian Melby of Moorhead, IA.; his wife Mary Lindsay; his father Robert Melby; and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his siblings, Vernon Melby (Carol) of Soldier, IA., Rick Melby (Kathy) of Moorhead, IA. and Tina Stewart (Jay) of Bennington, NE; and his stepson Jerry Lindsay of Middletown, PA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
