He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine M. Sensenig Sauder; his parents, Erbie Sauder and Alice Sensenig Sauder; his daughter Shirley Hensel; and his siblings, Lester, Melvin, Paul, Raymond, Alice Sauder, Esther Rutt and Irene Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Sauder, Donald Mumma (Barbara), Rick Gilbert (Judy), Jeff Gilbert (Sherri), Greg Gilbert, Diane Smith (Fred) and Melodie Weaver (Sam); his son-in-law Bill Hensel; and his sister Anna Wenger. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
