He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond I. Carpenter and Elsie Carpenter (Sweigart); and his siblings, Dale R. Carpenter, Patricia A. Beamsderfer, Betty L. Sheaffer, Darlene L. Dohner and Gloria Jean Hermany.
He is survived by: his brother Jay Carpenter (Mary Ann (Gorton)) of Lititz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
