Helen L. Schuman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen L. Schuman of Equinunk, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Helen leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Helen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gehrig and Lena L. Gehrig; her husband Earl J. Schuman; and her brothers, Emil, Robert and George.
She is survived by: her sister Ruth Price. She is also survived by numerous sisters-in law, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel (29 E Main St, Hancock, NY 13783). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations can be made in Helen's memory to her niece, Audrey Price for donation to the ALS Foundation (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for research.
