She is survived by: her children, Kevin Mitchell, Katie Mitchell and Laura Gardner (Zach); her grandchildren, Alexis Parker, Maddy Hart, Aiden and Emmalyn Gardner; her brother John Stone (Sharon); her sister-in-law Susan Frick (Robert); her friend Ruth Balough; and her close friend Patty Jones Shea. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betsy's name to the Erie Humane Society or to the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.
