She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Hughes and Louise Hughes (Lanier); her former husband James Walker; and her daughters, Bonnie Walker and LaVette Walker.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Chapman; her children, Clinton Walker (Heather), Sandra Jones, Kennard Walker (Daria) and Connie Walker (Joseph Briggs); and her grandchildren, Jayme Larkin, Ashley Vest (Scott), Jaleesa Larkin Roddy (Kevin), Sarah Larkin, Clintone Walker, Arthur Walker, Brea Walker and Jasynn Jones Brooks. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
