He was predeceased by: his parents, Olee Lyons and Lillie J. Lyons (Williams); his brother Emory Dean Williams; and his grandparents, John D. Williams, Emma Williams (Simmons), Ora D. Lyons and Lillie Lyons (McCoy).

He is survived by: his siblings, Geoffrey Lyons (Siedah), Janson Williams, William Lyons, Jillian Lyons and Minister Tammy Grandberry; his children, Shannon Sansom, Darshanna Truss (Jason), Devin McLaurin, Breawna Lyons, Brandy Lyons, Gary Williams, Nyrdrea, Jhaqoya Gilliam, Diallo Jordan and Autumn Brown (Nellroy); and his stepchildren, Darrasia Vittitoe, Shaylin Mckines and Darrell Gamble Jr..
