He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Briggs and Edith Briggs; his wife Karen Ruth Haupt Briggs; and his brothers, Chuck, Bob and Larry Briggs.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie and Diane; and his grandchildren, Megan (Andy Metzler), Daniele (Kyle Trexler) and Michael.
