We announce the death of Gary Confer of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 69. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Pound Reed of Corry, PA. He is survived by: his wife Julia (Hornaman); his children, Gabe Confer (Amy), Jennifer Vincent (Lincoln) and Gary Confer II (Katie); his grandchildren, Torry Confer, Alex Confer, Dez, Anthony Dougherty, Dierra Coleman, Channing Confer, Blake McElroy Confer and Barrett Houpt; and his great grandchildren, Juniez, Adalynn, Darion and Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Center for Women, The Liberty House at EUMA, or Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) of Erie County.
