He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Johnstone and Ellen Johnstone (Sterling); his wife Janet Johnstone (Komarnitzky); and his sister Barbara Johnstone. He is survived by: his children, Rachel Fraser (Eric) of Crucible, PA, Jill Robertson (Jeremiah) of Albion, Jerrod Johnstone (Christine) of Erie and Brandon Johnstone of Erie; and his siblings, Terri Miller (James), Janet Burkett, Sandra Sasso (David), Kathy Hennick (Bill), Ronald Johnstone (Paula), Kevin Looker and Kenneth Johnstone. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services West Ridge (3801 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16506). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 E.10th.
