With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeannette Shields of Erie, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 23, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Ware and Helen Moore Ware; her husband Gerald C. Shields; and her siblings, Paul L. Voisin, Merle F. Voisin, John W. Ware, Jr., Virginia Pinetti, Ruth Saxton, Marjorie Baker, Nora Ware and Lillian Ruot.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald "Jerry" Shields (Kathy) of Erie, Diane Horvath of Ohio, Daniel Shields (Layla) of Minnesota, Jeffrey Shields (Julie) of Erie, Anne Dechant (Ed) of Wisconsin, James Shields (Paula) of Ohio and David Shields of Ohio. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
