With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Gavin of Erie, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks Gavin and Bessie Gavin (Marshall); and his brothers, James Gavin, Brooks Gavin, Eugene Gavin, Perce Gavin, Willie Frank Gavin and Charles Gavin.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Gavin of Erie, Tamberia Reeves of Erie, Nicole Gordon of Erie and April Rogers of Erie; his siblings, Annie Allen of South Carolina, Bessie Gavin of Erie and Daniel Gavin of Atlanta; his aunt Rachel McKee; and his close friend James Dice. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
