He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Chipley and Julia Whiteman Chipley; his wife Marianne A. Shepard Chipley; his son David Chipley; and his sisters, Emma Passaeur and Frances Kirkstadt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Bane (Mark) and Carol Kuchcinski (Joe); and his siblings, Jeanne Schalf and Lawrence Chipley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
