He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Robert J. Lechtner and Toni Greenbaum Lechtner; his wife Deanna "Sis" Rein; and his daughter Lisa Chinsky. He is survived by : his children, Barbara Erlich (Scott) of Great Neck, NY and Joey Lechtner (Cindy) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; his son-in-law Kenny Chinsky of Erie; his grandchildren, Andrew Chinsky (Allie), Daniel Chinsky of Atlanta, Sara Chinsky of Bloomington, IL, Jacob Erlich of Manhattan, NY, David Erlich (Katie) of Manhattan, NY, Allison Erlich of Manhattan, NY, Jimmy Lechtner of Boston, Ryan Lechtner of Raleigh and Steven Lechtner of Ann Arbor, Mich; his siblings, Richard M. Lechtner (Bonnie) of Naples and Kathy Epstein of Baltimore, MD; and his great grandchildren, Emmie Chinsky and Lucas Chinsky of Atlanta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Anshe Hesed (5401 Old Zuck Rd, Erie, PA 16506).
