As Matilda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Matilda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Matilda leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Engle and Jennie Engle (Maffett); her daughter Janice Rippert; and her siblings, Barbara Stebnisky, James Engle, SGT Ralph R. Engle, Bernard Engle and Edward Engle.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Connor; her son Dale Rippert (Gayle) of Cranesville; and her granddaughter Jenna Rippert (Joe Davis) of Girard. She is also survived by other granddaughter, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mattera Funeral Home (188 E State St, Albion, PA 16401).
