It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Callaghan of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Callaghan and Julia Ann Callaghan (Brennan); his brother John Callaghan; his son Michael Callaghan Jr.; and his wife Teresa Southern.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen (Michal), Thomas (Laurie), Christopher (Lisa) and Patrick (Gwen); his daughter-in-law Mary; his grandchildren, Andy, Heather, Shannon, Sean, Jim, Katie, Megan, Matt, Owen, Tess, Erin, Rory, Levi and Erica; and his great grandchildren, Wesley, Maisie, Lily, Colin, Ryan, Ella, Claire and Cecelia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3325 W Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16505). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Calamari's.
