With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtis Lee Dickerson of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest T. Dickerson and Mattie Lee Coleman-Arrington; her grandparents, Arthur Dickerson, Josephine Cooley-Dickerson, James Coleman Sr. and Ida Mae Carter-Coleman; her close friend Levi Parker; her son Joao R. Dickerson Sr.; her sister Ernestine Collier; her nephew Eric Patterson; her grandchildren, Shanaia M. Dickerson and Shadaira Z. Parker; and her great grandchild Jaydan Augustyniak.
She is survived by: her children, Seamus Parker (Patricia), Geremia Parker (Samantha) and Angelique Parker (Verkarry) of Erie, PA.; her siblings, Ruby Pratt of Cleveland, OH and Michael Jenkins (Fatima) of Erie, PA.; her children, Michael of Laurel, MS., Stacey of Laurel, MS. and Angela Parker of Laurel, MS.; her grandchildren, Alexis Norman, Brenden Augustyniak, Jolie and Joao Jr. Dickerson; her great grandchildren, Niyairah, Xiaire Farmer, Zyana, Ta'Ziah Parker, Telana Copeland, Rashad Williams III, A'Mariona, Azani Gilmore, Deaquan, Kyrie, Brenden Jr., Zy'Aire, Karmyn Augustyniak, Cameron Lane and Ja'von Dickerson; her godchildren, Virginia Gamble, Tierra Johnson, Ryan Ward, Jason Ellman, Diquan Warren and Janson Williams; and her sisters, Brendalyn Tamplin, Roma Johnson, Mary-Liz Lopez, Regina Carpenter, Martha Woodard, Dolores Brown and Betty Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Seventh Day Adventist Church (201 E 24th St, Erie, PA 16503). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
