He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carr, Sr. and Matilda Carr (Harris); his wife Ila "Mary" Carr (Deboe); and his brother Will Carr (Sweet Pete). He is survived by: his children, Donna Carson (James) and Richard Salter (Kristen); and his grandchildren, Jasen Carson (Eboni), Jamal Carson, James Carson, Jr. (Morgan), Donnisha Carson, Dashawn Salter and Morgan Salter. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
