Richard Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Smith of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 12, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Smith and Virginia Smith (Upton); and his siblings, Sandra Smith and Jay A. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Karen L. Smith; his children, Tonya Dzuricky (Mark) and Chad Smith (Jessica); his stepdaughters, Michelle Kenney (Larry), Laurie Straub and Andrea Straub (Darryl); and his brother Wilbur "Butch" Smith. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
