He was predeceased by: his parents, James Matta and Margaret Matta (Bebko); and his brother-in-law Michael Gray. He is survived by: his children, Randy Matta (Diana) of Erie, Leanne Berchtold (Andrew) of Harborcreek and Michelle Patalon (Jason) of Millcreek; his grandchildren, Brandon Burnett, Bailee Matta, Blaine Patalon, Sean Berchtold, Karlee Berchtold, Olivia Matta, RJ Matta and Anna Matta; his siblings, James Matta (Linda), John Matta, Jane Matta-Gray and Joseph Matta (Barb); and his nephews, Timothy Gray (Michelle) and Justin Fetzner.
