Robert Vanicek Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2025, at the age of 65, Robert Vanicek in Erie, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Vanicek and Martha Vanicek (Jones); his brother Ronald Vanicek; his parents-in-law, Theodore and Roena Alward; his brother-in-law Mark Alward; and his stepmother Lois Vanicek.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Vanicek (Alward); his daughter Sarah Vanicek; his siblings, Nancy Schaaf (Tim) and Richard Vanicek (Heidi); his brother-in-law Theodore Alward (Doreen); his grandson Michael Robert Eaton; and his caregivers, Amy, Leslie, Tracy and Stacy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edder Family Funeral Home (309 Main St E, Girard, PA 16417). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (1001 Main St E, Girard, PA 16417).
