He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Gilkinson and Marjorie Gilkinson (Kilbane); his brothers, Richard Gilkinson and Roy Gilkinson; and his in-laws, George, Betty Cass and Allen J. Lintz.
He is survived by: his significant other Joanna Gilkinson (Lintz); his children, Ron Gilkinson Jr. (Heather), Russ Gilkinson (Carole), George Gilkinson (Alexandria) and Elizabeth Gilkinson; his siblings, Ralph (Michele), Tom (Sharon), Joe (LeAnn), Roger (Debbie), Robert (Carol), Raleigh (Lori), Randy (Louann) and Marlene Gilkinson; his godchildren, Sam Marsh, Michael Gilkinson, Alycia Austin, Maria Detar and Bekha Watson; and his godfather Peter Froess. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
