She is survived by: her daughters, Dionna (DeeDee), Barnett (Marvin) and Tahlisha Carter; her grandchildren, Jovan Crosby Sr. (Angela) and Samara Barnett; her great grandchildren, Alaya Tolbert, Jovan Crosby Jr., Jovanni, Jalaya Crosby and Giovanni Crosby (Gio); her siblings, James Hopson (VA), Winston Mills, Thurston Mills (Jackie), Gloria Mills (AR), Gladys Tate, Dorothy Bush (Rufus) and Linda Burton; and her close friend George L. Carter (NC).
