It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sue Ann Pier (Erie, Pennsylvania), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Pier; her brother Bill McKinney (Lydia); her daughter Karen Esser (William); her grandchildren, Eric Esser (Christina), Adam Esser (Crystal) and Cara Esser, MD; her great grandchildren, Ryan, McKenzie and Hailey Esser; and her stepchildren, Diana Dias (Ken), Mike Pier (Jennifer), Sharon Papotnik (Tim) and Brian Pier (Ashley). She is also survived by 11 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (2607 Buffalo Rd, Erie, PA 16510). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Roman Catholic Church (2635 Buffalo Rd, Erie, PA 16510).
