He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Higgins and Ruth Higgins (Spiegel); his wife Sheila Higgins (Sullivan); and his siblings, Kathleen Stablein, Margaret Higgins (Peggy) and Joseph J. Higgins.
He is survived by: his sons, Patrick J. Higgins of Daytona, FL and Michael T. Higgins (Carla) of Erie; his grandchildren, Kelly Ann Higgins of Erie, Courtney Higgins, Collin VanBuskirk, Alexis LaBoda and Anthony LaBoda; and his close friend Len Andrzejewski. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
