It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wallace Edson Stanley II (Erie, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 30, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wallace E. Stanley and Mary Rebecca Stanley (Ore); his wife Jane; his sons, Matt of Chicago, IL and Douglas; his siblings, Rebecca Martin (Dennis), Peggy Ellwood (David), Mary Yount (Bob) and George Stanley (Darlene); his mother-in-law Maryann Wargo; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Cooklis, Beth Ludwig (Karl), Frank Wargo (Melissa) and Mike Cooklis (Li). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park where Wally loved to run on the trails and hills.

“Jane & Matt, I am saddened to hear of Wally’s passing. I knew Wally from his time with GTE/VZ in DFW, Texas. Over the years we shared stories about our son’s baseball, motorcycles and the business. During the years he worked for me, I slept at ease knowing Wally was on duty to cover the challenging situations that could occur in our network during the night shift. Prayers and hugs to you and all of your family as you grieve your loss and celebrate his life. Scott England”
