He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezekiel Atkinson (Zeke) and Lula Atkinson; his brothers, Clidy Atkinson Gamble (Ida Mae Hamiliton), Reed Atkinson (Ada Bean), Isaiah Atkinson, Eulus Atkinson (Edith Gates), Ned Atkinson, Ludean Crockett-Mitchell (Georgia Ravnell) and Izora Atkinson; his former wife Bonnie L. Atkinson; and his child Melaina Atkinson.
He is survived by: his children, Hazel Green (David) of Erie, Charles Atkinson (Peggy) of Erie, Harold Atkinson of Erie and Richard Atkinson (Mischeal) of Erie; and his grandchildren, Edward Taylor, Lisa Pope-Bey, Charmayne Rozenek, Joseph Brown, Selena Neilsen, Darren Atkinson, David Green, Chanel Cook, Justin Atkinson, Preston Atkinson, Tara Tate and Chelsea Kirkpatrick. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
