He is survived by: his children, Elaine Chimenti and John Chimenti (Megan); his grandchildren, John, Anthony and Samantha Chimenti; and his siblings, Marjory Painter (Merle), Robert Chimenti (Sherry) and Maryann Chimenti. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
