He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kilbourne and Sara Kilbourne (Grinder); and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his wife Silvia M. Herman; his children, Claire Louise Kilbourne (Keith Beighley), Sara Kay Trostle (Gary), Doreen Denlinger (Keith), Gary Kilbourne (Sue) and Diann Trotman (Harvey); and his mother-in-law Silvia Herman. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any veteran, child, or animal charity of the donor's choice.
