He was predeceased by: his father Thomas E. Tay; his husband David Shaeffer; and his brother Kevin C. Tay. He is survived by: his mother Geraldine M. Tay (Keenan); and his brothers, Andrew G. Tay (Beth), Michael E. Tay (Nancy), George I. Tay and Charles J. Tay (Stephanie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
