William Austin Cowell Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Austin Cowell, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. William was born on August 11, 1998, in York, Pennsylvania, and he left this world far too soon on November 12, 2025, at the age of 27.
William, known affectionately to his loved ones as Billy, was a resident of Etters, Pennsylvania. He earned his high school diploma and enjoyed working various jobs in retail. Those who knew him best will remember his unwavering friendliness, dedication, and the warmth he brought to every interaction. He was a stand-up guy and a cherished friend, always ready to lend an ear or share a laugh.
An avid sports enthusiast and a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, Billy enjoyed the thrill of competition, often immersing himself in his favorite video game, Madden. He had a remarkable bond with his younger brother, Kain, whom he taught to ride a bike, play ball, and do all the things a big brother does.
Billy's greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved son, Austin. Their adventures together were filled with laughter, exploration, and countless cherished memories. Billy embraced the great outdoors, finding peace and joy in hiking, a pastime that brought him tranquility and allowed him to appreciate nature's beauty.
Billy is survived by his father, William G. Cowell; his mother, Renee Powers; his grandmothers, Bonnie Cowell and Dyanna Bolton; his brother, Kain Cowell; and his treasured son, Austin Cowell as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Each of these individuals played a significant role in Billy's life, and they will forever carry his spirit with them. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William H. Cowell.
A viewing will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 1 – 2 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home with a funeral to follow promptly at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to charity of your choice.
