She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Andrew Kohler and Charlotte Ernst Kohler; her husband Phillip Smith; her daughter Phyllis Jesperson; and her siblings, Raymond Kohler, Alice Reitlinger (Joseph) and Ruth Zoelle (Bob).

She is survived by: her children, William Smith (Pam) and Lois Kearns (John); her grandchildren, Will Smith (Marci), Greg Smith (Amy), Amanda Kevach (Phil), Phillip Kearns (Laken), Dana Jesperson (Cody) and Sam Kearns (Nikki); her son-in-law David Jesperson; and her sister-in-law Jean Kohler. She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren.
